Subtle colouring of creams and white with gold highlights and a rhinestone chain pattern make this a pretty egg for any occasion. Add the silk ribbon embroidered touches and you have a winner on your hands.
The inspiration for this egg came from a piece of ribbon embroidery which featured work in cream and white and which was designed as a ring cushion.
The fairly bland colours were lifted by the addition of green silk ribbon and the gold jap silk and beads stitched over the silk work. The colours could be changed to suit any occasion, such as a ruby or golden anniversary.
